(g) Stand or Standing

Stand or standing means the halting of a vehicle, whether occupied
or not, other than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually en-
gaged in receiving or discharging passengers.

(h) Vehicle

Vehicle means every device in, upon, or by which any person or prop-
erty is or may be transported or drawn upon a highway.

21.101 No Parking Place

It shall be unlawful to permit any vehicle to stand in any of the fol-
lowing places, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic
or in compliance with the directions of a policeman or traffic control
device,

(a)   In front of a public or private driveway without the consent of
the owner, occupant, or agent of the property to which the driveway
gives access.

(b)   On a sidewalk or other pathway designed for the use of pedes-
trian traffic.

(c)  Within an intersection or junction.

(d)   Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when
stopping, standing, or parking would obstruct traffic.

(e)  Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upon a highway or
within a highway tunnel or the approach thereto.

(f)   On any ramp entering on or exiting from any highway with two
or more traffic lanes moving in the same direction.

(g)  Within 10 feet of a fire hydrant.

(h) Within 20 feet of a pedestrian crosswalk at an intersection or
within 30 feet of a school crosswalk.

(i) Within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing signal, stop sign,
or traffic control signal or sign located at the side of a roadway.

(j) Within 30 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station or on
the side of a street opposite the entrance to any fire station.

(k) On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the
edge or curb of a street except for a reasonable period of time when
unloading passengers or merchandise and no parking area exists.

(1) On a curve or the brow of a hill where solid lines indicating a
no-passing zone appear on the surface of the road.

(m) Within 50 feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing.

(n) Outside of the lines painted on surface of roadway or parking
area designating the area as a parking space.

(o) No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle on any private
property not owned by the owner or driver of the vehicle after he has
been requested by the property owner, his tenant, or his agent to remove
the vehicle from the premises.
