Section 15. And be it further enacted, That in accordance with
the provisions of Section 21-31 of the Anne Arundel County Code
(1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 21, "General Provisions, Penal-
ties and Rules of Interpretation", Subtitle 3, "Rules of Interpreta-
tion", the catchlines or section headings of the several sections of this
Ordinance are intended as mere catchwords to indicate the contents
of said section, and shall not be deemed or taken to be titles of such
sections, nor as any part of said Section.

Section 16. And be it further enacted, That upon the adoption
of additional sections of this Subtitle, the Articles, Headings, Sections
and Subsections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or re-arranged
to establish an orderly numbering system for the entire Subtitle,
and cross references may be corrected (provided that no changes
other than typographical corrections may be made to the language
or substance thereof).

Section 17. And be it further enacted, That if any provisions
of this Ordinance or the application thereof to any person or cir-
cumstance is held invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not
affect the other provisions or any other application of this Ordi-
nance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or
application, and to this end, all the provisions of this Ordinance are
hereby declared to be severable.

Section 18. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance shall
take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law, only
to the extent that the provisions thereof take effect in each tax assess-
ment district, on a district by district basis, when the comprehensive
zoning maps are adopted and become effective in each of said tax
assessment districts.

AN ORDINANCE to adopt Comprehensive Zoning Maps for the
First Assessment District, to provide for the filing thereof, to
repeal Subtitle 3, "Zoning Regulations" of Title 13, "Planning
and Zoning", of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), formerly codified as Chapter 35 of said Code (1957
Edition and Supplements), "Zoning", as added or amended; to
repeal the comprehensive zoning maps now effective for the First
Assessment District; to make the new Zoning Regulations as
enacted by Bills Nos. 2-70, 18-70, 20-70, 38-70, 39-70, 44-70, 53-70,
54-70, 86-70, 93-70, 94-70, 134-70, 7-71, 8-71, 13-71, 16-71, 17-71
and 41-71, effective in the First Assessment District; to make the
new zoning maps effective in the First Assessment District; to
provide for the severability of the provisions of this Ordinance if
any provisions thereof are held invalid; and matters generally
related thereto.
