MAJOR CONSTRUCTION OR MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES
(PREFERABLY IN SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL), three years of
which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or any equivalent
combination of education and experience. Special requirements;
Possession of or eligibility for a professional engineer's license.
Section 3. And be it further enacted, That this Ordinance shall
take effect forty-five (45) days from the date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal Sections 1-204 (d) (1) through (4),
inclusive, and 1-204 (f) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2,
"Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service", and to enact new
Sections 1-204 (d) (1) and (f) in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the Sections repealed, changing the basis for annual leave,
and authorizing advance annual leave for certain County employees.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Anne Arundel
County, Maryland, That Sections 1-204 (d) (1) through (4), in-
clusive, and 1-204 (f) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2,
"Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service", be, and they are hereby
repealed, and new Sections 1-204 (d) (1) and (f) be, and they are
hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the sections
repealed, to read as follows:
Section l-204(d)(l).
Classified employees shall accrue annual leave based on the
following schedule:
Less than 5 years credited (as defined in Section
1-223 (a) of Article III of this Subtitle)
service................................................................ 10 working days
5 to less than 10 years........................................ 15 working days
10 to less than 20 years...................................... 20 working days
20 years or more.................................................. 25 working days
(f) Classified employees shall not be allowed to accumulate
more than five (5) work days of unused annual leave in any calendar
year, nor carry over more than thirty (30) work days of annual
leave into any given calendar year; provided that at any time during
the calendar year, employees with credited (as defined in Section
1-223 (a) of Article III of this Subtitle) service of the County for
three (3) or more years may take any advance annual leave which
would be accumulated by the end of said calendar year.
