and making provision for the publication, sale, and distribution
of this supplement.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the 1972 Supplement to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Charles County, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, published under the direction of the Board of County
Commissioners of Charles County and edited by Carl N. Everstine,
is legalized. The 1972 supplement shall contain all public local
laws relating to Charles County in effect after the 1972 Regular
Session of the General Assembly of Maryland and being supple-
mentary or in addition to the public local laws contained in the 1969
Edition of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County. The
1972 supplement also shall contain changes in or additions to the
charters of the municipal corporations in Charles County made
following the publication of the 1969 Edition of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Charles County and up to April 1, 1972. The supple-
ment shall be deemed and taken in all the courts of the State and
by all judges of the courts and all other public officials of the State
and of its political subdivisions as evidence of changes in the 1969
Edition of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County made
following publication of that code and up to the dates specified above
in this section.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Board of County
Commissioners of Charles County may make an appropriation for
the publication of the 1972 supplement and may provide for the
distribution and sale of the 1972 supplement.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 19 (k)
of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Supple-
ment), title "Juries" to provide an increase in the per diem allow-
ance of Howard County jurors, from eight to ten dollars a day.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 19 (k) of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1971 Supplement), title "Juries" be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
19.
(k) In Howard County, jurors shall receive [eight] ten TWELVE
