2356 Municipal Charters
ALL that lot, piece or parcel of ground lying on the Easterly side of
Main Street and fronting for approximately 20 feet on said Main Street,
having an average depth of approximately 280 feet; Said property more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an X in the concrete sidewalk along the east side of
Main Street in the Town of Westernport, said point being North 18 de-
grees 30 minutes East 98.94 feet from the northwest corner of the James
Welsh Service Station property which is also an X in said sidewalk, and
running thence South 71 degrees 30 minutes East 276.60 feet to a stake in
the guard rail fencing along the west side of Oak View Drive, thence with
said guard rail South 2 degrees 31 minutes West 20.10 feet to a second
stake in the said fencing, thence leaving the fencing and running North
71 degrees 30 minutes West 282 feet to a point in the paving at the vehicle
entrance to this property along the side of Main Street, and running thence
with the street North 18 degrees 30 minutes East 20 feet to the Beginning.
Any interested person or persons desiring to be heard on the above
proposed conveyance are urged to attend a public hearing in the City Hall
of the Town of Westernport at 7:30 P.M. on the 2nd day of August, 1971.

Charter Amendment No. 4—1971
Resolution
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commissioners of Westernport have pre-
viously determined that two parcels of real estate owned by the Town of
Westernport are no longer needed by the Town of Westernport for the
conduct of governmental purposes.
THEREFORE, the Mayor and Commissioners of Westernport resolve
as follows:
FIRST: That a parcel fronting on Main Street for a distance of 8.94
feet and having an approximate depth of 276 feet be conveyed to the Al-
legany County Public Library for no consideration.
SECOND: That the remaining parcel having frontage of 20 feet on
Main Street and an average depth of 276 feet be conveyed to the Hiram
Lodge #103, A.F. & A.M. for the sum of Six Thousand Three Hundred
Forty Dollars ($6,340); provided however, that a public notice be given
and a hearing held thereon prior to the execution of any deeds.
