WESTERNPORT
Charter Amendment No. 2-1971

Notice of a public hearing to be held on the 2nd day of August, 1971,
in the Town Hall of Westernport on proposed conveyance of a parcel of
real estate on the easterly side of Main Street, Westernport, Maryland
to the Allegany County Public Library.

WHEREAS, The Mayor and Commissioners of Westernport had pre-
viously determined that a small parcel of real estate owned by the Town
of Westernport is no longer needed by the Town of Westernport for the
conduct of governmental purposes.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Commissioners of Westernport at their
regular meeting held on the 19th day of July, 1971, sitting in legislative ses-
sion, voted to convey without consideration, the following described piece
or parcel of real estate to the Allegany County Public Library:

ALL that lot, piece or parcel of ground located on the Easterly side
of Main Street in the Town of Westernport, Allegany County, Maryland,
adjoining the Allegany County Public Library of Westernport property
and more particularly described as follows:

BEGINNING at a stake in the paving on the easterly side of Main
Street in the Town of Westernport, said point of beginning being North
18 degrees 30 minutes East 70 feet from the Northwest corner of the
James Welsh property which is an x in the sidewalk; and running thence
South 71 degrees 30 minutes East 284.89 feet to a stake in the guard rail
on Oak View Drive; thence North 2 degrees 31 minutes East 10 feet to a
stake; thence, North 71 degrees 30 minutes West approximately 282 feet
to the East side of Main Street, South 18 degrees West 30 minutes 8.94
feet to the point of Beginning.

Any interested person or persons desiring to be heard on the above
proposed conveyance are urged to attend a public hearing at the City Hall
in the Town of Westernport at 7:30 P.M. on the 2nd day of August, 1971.

of real estate on the easterly side of Main Street, Westernport, Mary-
land to the Hiram Lodge #103, A.F .& A.M.

WHEREAS, The Mayor and Commissioners of Westernport had pre-
viously determined that a small parcel of real estate owned by the Town
of Westernport is no longer needed by the Town of Westernport for the
conduct of governmental purposes.

WHEREAS, The Mayor and Commissioners of Westernport at their
regular meeting held on the 19th day of July, 1971, sitting in legislative
session, voted to convey for the sum of Six Thousand Three Hundred Forty
Dollars ($6,340), the following described piece or parcel of real estate
to the Hiram Lodge #103, A.F. & A.M.
