Salisbury                                        2345

Montleau Avenue and Carolyn Avenue and being bounded on the
North by the Baltimore and Eastern Railroad and providing for the
conditions and circumstances applicable to the proposed change in
boundaries of The City of Salisbury.

WHEREAS, The City of Salisbury has received consents to annexa-
tion, signed by at least 25% of the persons who reside in the area to be
annexed and who are registered voters and by the owners of at least 25%
of the assessed valuation of the real property located in the area sought
to be annexed, being contiguous to and binding upon the Easterly corpo-
rate limits of The City of Salisbury and called "Glen Avenue Annexation,"
for identification, and

WHEREAS, The City of Salisbury has caused to be made a verifica-
tion of the signatures on said consent to annexation and have verified that
the persons signing the petition represent at least 25% of the persons
who reside in the area to be annexed and who are registered to vote in the
county elections for Wicomico County, in which said area is located and
that the persons signing the consent to annexation are the owners of at
least 25% of the assessed valuation of the real property located in the
area sought to be annexed, all as of April 28, 1969, as will more particu-
larly appear by the verification of Paul S. Hishmeh, Chairman of the
Wicomico County Board of Election Supervisors and certification of Philip
W. Cooper, Director of Public Works for The City of Salisbury, attached
hereto; and

WHEREAS, it appears that the consents meet all the requirements
of law.

Section 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUN-
CIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY, That it is hereby proposed and rec-
ommended that the boundaries of The City of Salisbury, be changed so as
to annex to and include within said city all that certain area of land,
together with the persons residing therein and their property, contiguous
to and binding upon the Easterly corporate limits of The City of Salisbury
and being more particularly described as follows: All that piece or parcel
of land situated adjacent to and binding upon the easterly corporate limits
of the City of Salisbury, Wicomico County and State of Maryland, being
bounded and abutted as follows: that is to say beginning at a concrete
monument and situated at the point of intersection of the corporate limit
and the northerly right-of-way line of the Baltimore and Eastern Railroad
Company property; thence by and with said right-of-way line North
seventy-nine degrees zero six minutes forty-six seconds East, two thou-
sand six hundred and twenty-six decimal one, eight (2,626.18) feet to a
cement post; thence to, by and with the common back boundaries of the
properties located east and adjacent to Montleau Avenue and the proper-
ties located west adjacent to Carolyn Avenue South nine degrees twenty-
nine minutes thirty-one seconds East, three thousand ninety-six decimal
three, zero (3,096.30) feet to a cement post located on the southerly right-
of-way line of the state road U.S. 50; thence by and with said right-of-way
line South seventy-five degrees fifty-nine minutes forty-eight sec-
onds East four hundred and fifty-eight decimal seven, six (458.76) feet to
a cement post; thence to, by and with the westerly right-of-way line of
Beaglin Park Drive South twenty-five degrees zero two minutes zero one
second West two thousand four hundred and ninety-two decimal five, nine
(2,492.59) feet to an iron pin; thence by and with the same right-of-way
line South twenty-nine degrees forty-two minutes fifty-nine seconds West
three hundred and thirty-five decimal two, six (335.26) feet to a spike lo-
