2344                               Municipal Charters

No action was taken on a request from the Police Dept. Personnel
Committee to reclassify Janice Bromhall's position from Clerk-Typist to
Clerk-Dispatcher. Purchasing Agent, Calvin Davis, was instructed to have
all applicants for a new position in his department tested by the Employ-
ment Security Office to ascertain typing skills, etc., bringing back results
to Council for further study and recommendations.

There being no further business to come before the Chair, the meeting
adjourned at 9:55 p.m.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ELECTIONS

City of Salisbury, Md.

Gentlemen:

A Special Election was held today, Monday, September 8, 1969 from
7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Wicomico Senior High School Gymnasium to
vote on Resolution No. 120, a Resolution of the Council of the City of
Salisbury.

We, the undersigned members of the Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions for the City of Salisbury, Maryland, certify that we have canvassed
the voting machines and the official returns. Voting was as follows:

A total of 281 voters participated in the election.
Number of votes for the Resolution—122.
Number of votes against the Resolution—158.
One vote did not register in the voting machine.

Resolution No. 120

A Resolution of the Council of The City of Salisbury proposing the
annexation to The City of Salisbury of a certain area of land situated
contiguous to and binding upon the Easterly corporate limits of The
City of Salisbury, popularly known as the "Glen Avenue Area" and
bounded on the West by the existing corporate limits of The City of
Salisbury and bounded on the South by South Park Drive and
bounded on the East in part by North Park Drive, Beaglin Park Drive
and in part by a line running approximately North and South between
