Section 3. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY, That the Council hold a public hearing
on the annexation hereby proposed on Monday, August 24, 1970, at 8:05
o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers at the City Hall and the Executive
Secretary shall cause a public notice of the time and place of said hearing
to be published not fewer than four (4) times at not less than weekly
intervals, in a newspaper of general circulation in The City of Salisbury
and the area to be annexed, accurately describing the proposed annexation,
and the conditions and circumstances applicable thereto, which said notice
shall specify a time and place at which the Council of The City of Salis-
bury will hold a public hearing on this resolution.

Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY, That this resolution shall take effect
upon the expiration of forty-five (45) days following its final passage,
subject, however, to the right of referendum as contained in Article 23A
of the Maryland Code.

The above resolution was introduced and read and passed at the regu-
lar meeting of the Council of The City of Salisbury, held on the 13th
day of July, 1970, and having been duly published as required by law in
the meantime, was finally passed after a public hearing at its meeting
held on the 24th day of August, 1970.

EXHIBIT "A"

Description of the boundaries of the proposed annexation to the City
of Salisbury, Maryland, of a certain area of land situated adjacent to and
binding upon the southeasterly corporate limits of the City of Salisbury,
Maryland.

All that piece or parcel of land situated adjacent to and binding upon
the southeasterly corporate limits of the City of Salisbury, Wicomico
County, and State of Maryland, being bounded and abutted as follows:
that is to say, beginning at the intersection of two corporate limit lines
Easting 1,203,549.75, Northing 190,490.23 being a P.K. nail on the north-
erly right-of-way line of East College Avenue and 20 feet east from the
westerly right-of-way line of Spring Avenue; thence by and with the cor-
porate limit South seventy-four degrees twenty-eight minutes thirty-four
seconds West one thousand six hundred and fifty-eight decimal eight,
five (1,658.85) feet to a point marked with a chisel on the east curb line
of South Division Street Extended, Easting 1,201,951.41, Northing 190,-
046.26; thence by and with said curb line South twelve degrees fifty-three
minutes twenty-four seconds West two hundred and forty-eight decimal
six, zero (248.60) feet to a P.K. nail Easting 1,201,895.95, Northing
189,803.92; thence North eighty-nine degrees thirty-nine minutes twenty-
four seconds East one thousand seven hundred and sixty-nine decimal
seven, four (1,769.74) feet to a P.K. nail on the south curb line of James
M. Bennett Senior High School parking lot Easting 1,203,655.66, Northing
189,814.53; thence South one degree fifteen minutes zero, six seconds
East eight hundred and eighty-five decimal three, zero (885.30) feet to a
bronze City survey marker stamped "BENBAL" and set in concrete East-
