2324 Municipal Charters
"Section 90. Property subject to taxation; assessment; limitation on tax
rate.
All real and tangible personal property within the limits of the City
of Salisbury, or which may have a situs there by reason of the residence of
the owner therein, shall be subject to taxation for municipal purposes,
and the assessment for said purpose shall be the same as that for state and
county purposes. The mayor and council of Salisbury shall not tax property
for all general purposes other than servicing bonds at a rate greater than
[one dollar] one dollar and twenty cents on each one hundred dollars of
assessed valuation."
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SALISBURY, that the Mayor of The City of Salisbury be, and
hereby is, authorized and directed to give notice by posting and publica-
tion as required by Article 23A of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland; and the amendment herein proposed shall become effective upon
the expiration of the time limit therein contained.
THE ABOVE RESOLUTION was introduced at the regular meeting
of the Council of The City of Salisbury, held on the 24th day of March,
1969, and having been duly published in the meantime was finally passed
at its meeting held on the 24th day of March, 1969.

Resolution No. 132
A Resolution of the Council of The City of Salisbury amending by
way of reduction in area, an annexation resolution being No. 127 popu-
larly known as "Beaver Dam Area", introduced March 23, 1970 and
passed on May 11, 1970 but not yet finally effective.
WHEREAS, The City of Salisbury has heretofore passed an annexation
resolution intending to cover primarily the area represented by the City
Park, popularly known as the "Beaver Dam Area"; and
WHEREAS, the original resolution included inadvertently a small por-
tion of the land of Mrs. Edith West; and
WHEREAS, in order to clarify the description and to comply with the
original intention of the Council of The City of Salisbury, it is desirable to
amend said resolution No. 127 prior to its becoming finally effective.
Section 1. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUN-
CIL OF THE CITY OF SALISBURY, That the description of the land
