Attached hereto is a copy of the resolution adopted by the Town Com-
missioners of Queenstown as to the annexation.
I do further certify that said resolution was not subject to any petition
for referendum and that the effective date of the annexation amendment
was June 1, 1971.

Resolution of the Commissioners of Queenstown to enlarge the cor-
porate boundaries of the Town of Queenstown and thereby repeal Sub-
section 2, Section 1, of the Charter of the Town of Queenstown by
adding a new section to be known as Subsection 2, Section 1.
A resolution of the Commissioners of Queenstown, adopted pursuant
to the authority of Article 11-E of the Constitution of Maryland and Sec-
tion 19 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 edition,
titled, "Corporations, Municipal," subtitle, "Home Rule," subheading "An-
nexation," as said section was amended by Chapter 314 of the Laws of
Maryland of 1961, to enlarge the corporate boundaries of the Town of
Queenstown and to repeal Subsection 2 of Section 1 of the Town Charter of
Queenstown and re-enact a new subsection 2 of Section 1 annexing to said
corporate boundaries areas contiguous to and adjoining the present North,
East, South and West corporate boundaries of the Town and the new Town
Corporate boundaries are more particularly described by metes and
bounds in accordance with a survey by William R. Nuttle, registered sur-
veyor, dated January 1971, as follows:
BEGINNING at a point marked by a concrete monument, said point
being on the lands of Helen Burgess and Queenstown Creek at a distance
of 300 feet, more or less, North of Queenstown Landing Road and thence
South 51° 37' 40" East a distance of 2,400 feet, more or less, passing
through concrete monument at the Northeast corner of the lands of the
Queenstown Volunteer Fire Company, to the center of Maryland Route No.
18, thence South 17° 18' 30" East 1,130.65 feet to the center of U.S. Route
301 (at Station 907 + 59.48) and thence continuing the same course a
distance of 590.90 feet to a concrete monument, thence South 55° 30' 10"
