1.   The complete text of the Resolution.

2.   The date of referendum election, if any, held with respect thereto.

3.   The number of votes cast for and against the question contained
in the Charter Amendment.

4.   The effective date of the Charter Amendment.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Hyattsville be, and he is specifically enjoined and instructed to carry out
the provisions herein before stated as evidence of compliance herewith,
and the said Mayor shall cause to be filed the appropriate certification of
publication and mailing receipts referred to in the before sections.

LANDOVER HILLS

Charter Amendment No. 71-1

Mayor and Town Council of Landover Hills, Maryland

A Resolution and Ordinance to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, Section 48-9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County, Maryland (1963 Edition), titled "Landover Hills"
and subtitled, "General Powers," being a section of the Charter of
the Mayor and Town Council of Landover Hills, and increasing the
penalties for the violation of any ordinances passed by the Mayor and
Town Council from a limit of Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars in any one
case to One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Landover Hills, Maryland, that Section 48-9
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, Maryland
(1963 Edition), titled, "Landover Hills" and subtitled, "General Powers,"
being a section of the Charter of the Mayor and Town Council of Landover
Hills, Maryland, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments, to read as follows:

48-9. General Powers.

The Mayor and Town Council may provide by ordinance for the good
government of the town, for the preservation of the peace and good
order therein, and for securing to the residents of said town all rights of
persons and property to which they are by law entitled, for the surveying,
grading, paving, repairing, draining, laying out, extending, opening, clos-
ing, straightening, or relocating of any of the streets, sidewalks or alleys
in said town, and may condemn or purchase the right-of-way for any street
or alley which it may determine shall be opened for the public good, the
process of condemnation to conform so far as may be to the condemnation
of property for roadways by the Commissioners of Prince George's
County, or the State Roads Commission of Maryland, as authorized by law,
for the removal of nuisances, for the removal of obstructions from streets,
lanes, and alleys, for the establishment of building lines and building
regulations; for prohibiting the carrying of concealed weapons, for pro-
hibiting the discharge of firearms, firecrackers, torpedoes and other ex-
