BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, that
any section or sections of the Charter of the Town of Cottage City,
Maryland, which are inconsistent with the above enacted Sections, be,
and the same are hereby repealed.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, that
the aforegoing proposed amendment shall be posted in the Town Hall for
a period of at least forty (40) days following its adoption, and shall
further be published in the Prince George's Post once in each of four
successive weeks before the 21st day of May, 1971.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, that
the proposed amendment will become and be considered a part of the
Municipal Charter of the Town of Cottage City on the 7th day of June,
1971, unless a petition is filed pursuant to Article 23(a), Section 13 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition and 1966 Replacement
Volume of said Code, as amended, said petition to be filed on or before
the 26th day of May, 1971.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Cottage City Commissioners of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland, that
the aforegoing Resolution and Ordinance be and the same is hereby
adopted this 9th day of April, 1971, by the Cottage City Commissioners
of the Town of Cottage City, Maryland.

Charter Amendment
Resolution No. 51

Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Mary-
land, adopted pursuant to the authority contained in Article 11-E of
the Constitution of the State of Maryland, and Section 13 of Article
23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, entitled "Municipal Cor-
porations," as said Section was enacted by Chapter 423 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1955, entitled "A RESOLU-
TION TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CUMBER-
LAND (1966 EDITION), BEING ARTICLE 1A OF THE CODE OF
PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND, BY REPEALING AND
REENACTING SECTION 229(a) OF SAID CHARTER, PROVID-
ING FOR TERMS OF OFFICE OF MEMBERS OF THE MUNIC-
IPAL PARKING AUTHORITY."

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUN-
CIL OF CUMBERLAND, That Section 229(a) of the Charter of the City
