The State's Attorney may appoint an assistant State's attorney.
The assistant State's attorney shall be paid an annual salary to be
determined by the County Commissioners. THE ASSISTANT
STATE'S ATTORNEY'S SALARY IS SHALL BE PAID AN AN-
NUAL SALARY AS DETERMINED BY THE COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS, BUT IN NO EVENT LESS THAN SEVEN THOU-
SAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,500.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 20 of
Article 15A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement
Volume), title "Budget and Procurement," subtitle "Budget Bu-
reau," amending the laws concerning the data to be submitted
with the Budget Bill in order to require a separate listing of
information concerning the salaries of certain non-classified posi-
tions with flat rate or per diem compensation, and relating gen-
erally to the requirements for such positions and compensations.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 20 of Article 15A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume), title "Budget and Procurement," sub-
title "Budget Bureau," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
20.
(a) Upon the adoption by the legal and qualified voters of this
State of the amendment to Section 52 of Article 3 of the Constitu-
tion of this State, concerning the form and detail in which budgets
are submitted to the General Assembly, the Governor shall, in addi-
tion to the budget bill which he shall annually submit to the
General Assembly, transmit at the same time to each member of the
General Assembly, in book form, supporting data which shall include
the number of officers and employees in each department of the State
government, the number in each job classification, the amounts paid,
appropriated and proposed for each classification in each department,
and the total amount for salaries in each department; and, in addi-
tion thereto, the other expenses for operations, contractual services,
supplies, materials, equipment, land and structures, and fixed charges;
which shall be itemized as to the object of each expenditure pro-
posed and classified as to the program or purpose of each expendi-
ture to conform to the budget bill, the said supporting data to in-
clude the amounts actually expended for the last completed fiscal
year, the amount appropriated for the current fiscal year and the
amount proposed for the next fiscal year, as to each item in each
department set forth in the supporting data hereby required.
