The several constables, bailiffs, municipal police officers and all
other prosecuting and peace officers of Harford County shall be
strictly charged with the enforcement of this section.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal Section 584 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Wild
or Vicious Animals," concerning the keeping for exhibition wild
or vicious animals.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 584 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-
title "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Wild or Vicious Ani-
mals," be and it is hereby repealed.

Any person who shall keep or permit to be kept on his premises
any wild or vicious animal for display or exhibition purposes,
whether gratuitously, or for a fee, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to confinement in the jail
or house of correction for not less than three months or more than
one year, or be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00)
or more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or both fined and
imprisoned, provided, however, that this section shall not be con-
strued to apply to the operation of parks or zoos by municipal cor-
porations or other political subdivisions of this State, or to the ex-
hibition of wild or vicious animals at a duly licensed circus or
theatre.]
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.
