Marvin Mandel, Governor 1667
409N.
When written or oral examinations are required, they shall be
held at a time and place as the Board may determine. The method
of procedure shall be prescribed by the Board. A candidate fail-
ing an examination may apply for re-examination at the expiration
of six (6) months and will be re-examined without payment of addi-
tional fee. Subsequent examination will be granted upon payment
of a fee to be determined by the Board, not to exceed five dollars
($5.00) in each instance.
409-O.
The Board shall issue a license upon payment of a registration
fee as provided for in this subheading to an applicant, who, in
the opinion of the Board has satisfactorily met all of the require-
ments set forth in this subheading. Licenses shall show the full
name of the registrant, shall have a serial number, and shall be
signed by the Chairman of the Board. The issuance of a license
by the Board is evidence that the person named therein is entitled
to all of the rights and privileges of a Registered Professional
Forester while the license remains unrevoked or unexpired. Plans,
maps, specifications and reports issued by a registrant shall be en-
dorsed with his name, registration number, and seal during the
life of the registrant's license, but it is a misdemeanor for any-
one to endorse any document with the name and license number
after the license of the registrant named therein has expired or
has been revoked, unless the license shall have been renewed or re-
issued. It is a misdemeanor for any Registered Professional Forester
to endorse any plan, specification, estimate, or map unless he has
actually prepared the plan, specification, estimate, or map, or has
been in the actual charge of the preparation thereof.
A graduate of a curriculum in forestry of four (4) years or more
in a school or college approved by the Board, or accredited by the
Society of American Foresters, and lacking the necessary experi-
ence to qualify for registration, may practice forestry under super-
vision of a Registered Professional Forester.
Each registrant hereunder shall upon registration obtain a seal
of the design authorized by the Board, bearing the registrant's name
and the legend, "Registered Professional Forester".
409P.
Licenses shall expire on the thirtieth day of September next fol-
lowing their issuance or renewal and shall become invalid on that
date unless renewed. It is the duty of the Board to notify, at his
last registered address, every person registered under this subhead-
ing of the date of expiration of his license and the amount of fee
necessary for its renewal for one (1) year; this notice shall be
mailed at least thirty (30) days in advance of the date of expiration
of said license. The Board shall each year, prior to issuing renewal
notices for the ensuing year, fix the annual renewal fee for licenses,
which renewal fee shall not exceed the sum of ten dollars ($10.00).
The Board shall make an exception to the foregoing renewal pro-
vision in the case of a person serving in the Armed Forces of the
United States.
