any agreement deemed by the Commission to be in the public inter-
est. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to VALIDATE
ANY LEASE OR AGREEMENT EXECUTED PRIOR TO JULY
1, 1972 TO WHICH THE COMMISSION IS A PARTY WHICH
LEASE PROVIDES FOR AN INITIAL TERM BEYOND TWENTY
YEARS DURATION, NOR TO permit the renegotiation of any
lease or agreement executed prior to July 1,1972 to which the Com-
mission is a party for the purpose of extending the initial term of
such lease beyond twenty years duration, except that this limitation
shall not apply to any lease to which the Commission may be a party
with a non-profit, service-oriented organization.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-3 (a) (17)
and to add paragraph (4) to subsection (b) of Section 2-5 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1971 Supplement), title "Election Code" subtitle
"Election Boards and Employees" to increase the compensation of
members and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Elections
of Prince George's County and; to increase the compensation of the
attorney to the Board of Supervisors of Elections of Prince
George's County,; TO PROVIDE THAT IN THE EVENT OF
SPECIAL ELECTIONS OR SPECIAL SERVICES RENDERED
THE BOARD MAY ALLOW ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
AS IT DEEMS COMMENSURATE WITH THE SPECIAL
SERVICES RENDERED; AND TO GENERALLY RELATE
THERETO.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-3(a)(17) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1971 Supplement), title
"Election Code" subtitle "Election Boards and Employees" be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

2-3(a)

[(17) Prince George's County: $3,000.00]

(17) Prince George's County: $6,500.00 per member, however
the Chairman shall receive $5,000.00.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That new paragraph (4) be
