AN ACT to add new Section 135M to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Worcester County (1961 Edition and 1968 Supplement, being
Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Worcester County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to follow
immediately after Section 135L thereof, as added by Chapter 193
of the Acts of 1971; to authorize the County Commissioners of
Worcester County to cut weeds on private property if necessary to
preserve the environment, and to charge a fee therefor. WORCES-
TER COUNTY TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATE COUNTY
AGENCY CUT WEEDS AND REMOVE TRASH ON PRIVATE
PROPERTY IF NECESSARY, AND TO CHARGE A FEE
THEREFOR.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 135M be and it is hereby added to the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition and 1968 Supple-
ment, being Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Worcester County," subtitle "County Commissioners," to
follow immediately after Section 135L thereof, as added by Chapter
193 of the Acts of 1971; and to read as follows:

135M.

The Board of County Commissioners of Worcester County may
authorize the appropriate county agency to cut and trim weeds and
other growth AND TO REMOVE TRASH AND OTHER DEBRIS
on private property if that action is necessary in order to preserve
the environment OR PROVIDE FOR THE SAFETY OF ANY
PUBLIC OR PRIVATE BUILDING ON ADJACENT PROPERTY.
The Commissioners may charge a fee for their action.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.
