upon the land of another in Garrett County and providing the
penalty for the violation of this prohibition.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 124 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume), title "Crimes and Punishments,"
subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Drunkenness and
Disorderly Conduct," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
124.
Any person who shall enter upon the land or premises of any other
person, whether such person be the owner or lessee of said land
or premises and wilfully act in a disorderly manner by making loud
and unseemly noises, or by profanely cursing or swearing or using
obscene language or acting in any other disorderly manner while
thereon, shall upon conviction thereof be sentenced to pay a fine of
not less than one dollar and not more than twenty-five dollars, and
the costs of the prosecution; and the several justices of the peace of
this State shall have concurrent jurisdiction over such offense with
the circuit courts for their respective counties; and when said fine
and costs are not paid, the parties so convicted shall MAY be com-
mitted to the county jail for a term not exceeding thirty days or
until discharged in due course of law PURSUANT TO THE PRO-
VISIONS OF ARTICLE 38, SECTION 4; provided however, that the
provisions of this section shall only apply to Allegany County, Caro-
line County, Cecil County, Charles County, Frederick County, Garrett
County, Harford County, Howard County, Montgomery County,
Prince George's County, St. Mary's County, Carroll County, Queen
Anne's County, Washington County, Worcester County, Talbot
County, Wicomico County, Dorchester County and Kent County; pro-
vided that in Worcester County this section shall also apply to beaches
adjacent to residential riparian property and provided further than
no bonfires shall be built nor allowed to burn on any beach or other
property in Worcester County between the hours of 1:00 o'clock a.m.
and 5:00 o'clock a.m.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 50 of
Article 77A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Higher Education," subtitle "Scholarships,"
to add certain financial grants to those higher education students
receiving scholarships who may execute certain contracts, and
generally relating thereto.
