Whereas, in amending this Section with respect to salary provi-
sions there was an inadvertent omission of a paragraph concerning
the traveling and incidental expenses; and

Whereas, it was not the intention of the General Assembly in the
enactment of Chapter 705 of 1971 to omit or to discontinue the pro-
visions relating to the payment of traveling and incidental expenses;
and

Whereas, in order to establish without question the proper word-
ing of this Section it is desirable to re-enact it and to make certain
the provisions concerning traveling and incidental expenses are prop-
erly incorporated into the Section; now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume and 1971 Supplement), title "Work-
men's Compensation," subtitle "Workmen's Compensation Commis-
sion," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

(a)    The chairman of the Workmen's Compensation Commission
of Maryland shall receive a salary of twenty-four thousand dollars
($24,000) per annum and each of the other members of the Commis-
sion shall receive a salary of twenty-three thousand dollars ($23,000)
per annum.

(b)    In addition to the salary provided in this section each com-
missioner shall be allowed his actual necessary traveling and inci-
dental expenses AS PROVIDED IN THE ANNUAL STATE
BUDGET.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July JUNE 1, 1972.
