tion district of Dorchester County], said stores to be known as the
Dorchester liquor dispensaries, for the sale of all alcoholic beverages
except beer, in sealed packages or containers, which packages or
containers shall not be opened nor their contents consumed upon
the premises where sold. THE LOCATION OF ANY LIQUOR DIS-
PENSARIES ESTABLISHED ON OR AFTER JULY 1, 1972
SHALL BE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS OF DORCHESTER COUNTY.
(a) All new profits arising from the operation of said dispensary
shall be first applied towards the payment of any and all sums
advanced to or borrowed by the liquor control board. After such
sums have been paid, the said board shall be authorized to create
and maintain a reserve fund not to exceed $75,000, including the
total inventory of stock and supplies on hand, to provide adequate
working capital and to meet any loss that may be sustained by the
board in the operation of said dispensary. All net profits in excess of
the above requirements shall belong and be paid over to the
County Commissioners of Dorchester County on or before April 1
in each and every year.
(b) On or before April 1st in each and every year the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County may allocate and pay over to
the Cambridge, Maryland, Hospital, Inc., a sum in the discretion of
the County Commissioners from time to time[, except that in no
event may they allocate and pay over to the hospital a sum greater
than one half the net profits arising from the operation of the dispen-
sary]. Said hospital shall use said funds for the repair or expansion
of the hospital buildings, for the establishment and maintenance of
a nurse's training school, for the purchase or replacement of neces-
sary equipment or to meet current operation expenses or deficits.
Any sum from said net proceeds over and above that paid to the
hospital in each and every year shall be credited by the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County to a special fund and there-
after used only for the payments of the principal and/or interest on any
bonds or other certificates of indebtedness which are outstanding
and payable by the Board of County Commissioners of Dorchester
County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement
Volume), title "Juries," to increase the rate of pay for jurors in
