2-202.

(a) The following State officials shall, ex officio, be members of
the committee:

1.  The Governor, who shall be chairman of the committee.

2.  a. ([Chairman Director of the State Roads Commission]
Secretary of Transportation.

b.  [Superintendent of the Maryland State Police]
Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

c.  [Commissioner of Motor Vehicles] Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene.

d.  ([Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene]
Superintendent of the State Department of Education

e.  {[Superintendent of the State Department of Education]

The Chairman of the judicial proceedings committee of the
Maryland Senate.

f.  [Governor's highway safety coordinator]

The chairman of the motor vehicles subcommittee of the judi-
ciary committee
COMMITTEE ON CONSTITUTIONAL AND
ADMINISTRATIVE LAW of the Maryland House of Delegates.

G. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE MOTOR VEHICLES SUBCOM-
MITTEE OF THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE OF THE
MARYLAND HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

[g.] [The chairman of the judicial proceedings committee of the
Maryland Senate.]

[h.] [The chairman of the motor vehicles subcommittee of the
judiciary committee of the Maryland House of Delegates]

(b) The Governor may appoint such additional members as he
deems appropriate; which members shall serve at his pleasure.

(c) Each member of the committee may, from time to time desig-
nate a person to
serve temporarily as his alternate.

2-204.

[The Governor's highway safety coordinator] There shall be
[the] an executive director of the committee who shall be appointed
by the Secretary of Transportation.
The executive director shall
develop, plan and
execute such functions and duties as are prescribed
by the (committee)
under this article.

THE DIRECTOR OF THE DIVISION OF TRANSPORTATION
SAFETY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
SHALL BE THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE COMMIT-
TEE. THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SHALL BE THE ADMIN-
ISTRATIVE OFFICER FOR THE COMMITTEE AND SHALL BE
IN GENERAL CHARGE OF THE WORK OF THE COMMITTEE.
THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SHALL DEVELOP, PLAN AND
EXECUTE SUCH FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES AS ARE PRE-
SCRIBED BY THE COMMITTEE UNDER THIS ARTICLE.
