(1)  Shaft or hand tongs to $25 for each person tonging or
take oysters                              employed on a tong boat

(2)  Shaft or hand tongs, or $15 for each person operating
rakes to take clams                   tongs or rake or employed on a

tong boat

(3)  Patent tongs to take           $50 for each person tonging or em-
oysters                                     ployed on a patent tong boat,

WHICH LICENSE SHALL
ALSO ALLOW TAKING OF
OYSTERS BY SHAFT OR
HAND TONGS

(4)  Patent tongs to take           $25 for each person tonging or em-
clams                                     ployed on a patent tong boat

(5)  Dredge or handscrape [$100] $50 for each dredge or
to take oysters                         handscrape operated

(6)  Dredge or handscrape $50 for each dredge or handscrape
to take clams                               operated

(7) Hydraulic dredge to take [$100] $50 for each dredge
clams of any species                  operated

and licenses shall be issued as prescribed by regulations of the Fish
and Wildlife Administration.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 429
(Senate Bill 590)

AN ACT to add new Section 33A to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Health,"
subtitle "Miscellaneous Provisions," to follow immediately after
Section 33 thereof; and to add new Section 6A to Article 62 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title
"Marriages," to follow immediately after Section 6 thereof; to
provide that information and services concerning sickle cell ane-
mia and the sickle cell trait be made available to certain indi-
viduals applying for marriage licenses, TO REQUIRE THAT
CERTAIN BLOOD TESTS PERFORMED ON PREGNANT
WOMEN INCLUDE TESTS FOR SICKLE CELL ANEMIA, to
establish statewide facilities for education concerning the detec-
tion and treatment of sickle cell anemia and the sickle cell trait,
to establish an advisory committee, and matters generally relat-
ing thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 33A be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume), title
