"Merger"; Sections 1 to 30B, inclusive, of Article 66 of the Code,
title "Mortgages," subtitle "In General"; Sections 31 to 38 of the
Article 66, subtitle "Vendor's Lien"; Section 27, of Article 75
of the Code, title "Pleadings, Practice and Process at Law," sub-
title "Ejectment"; Section 11 of Article 90 of the Code, title
"Sureties," title "Contract Performance and Payment Bonds";
recodifying, restating and revising the public general laws of
Maryland relating to real property, including the laws relating
to the Statute of Frauds, to the recordation of instruments affect-
ing real property, to priorities based on recordation, to record
books, to the federal tax lien registration act, to the requisites
of valid instruments, including the abolition of the requirements
of acknowledgments, seals, and witnesses, to general rules of
construction of instruments affecting real property, to rights of
entry and possibilities of reverter, to mortgages and deeds of
trust, including the abolition of distinctions between mortgages
and deeds of trust for future advances, to vendors' liens, to
landlord and tenant, to mechanics' liens, to land installment con-
tracts, to express and implied warranties on the sale of real
property, to deposits on new homes, to recorded contracts and
options, to horizontal property, to eminent domain, to land patents,
and to title at execution sales; and relating generally to real
property.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 1 to 150, inclusive, of Article 21 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1971 Supple-
ment) title "Conveyancing," be and hereby are repealed and, in
lieu thereof, new Sections 1-101 to 15-102, inclusive, to stand in
place of the sections so repealed, be and hereby are enacted under
the new title "Real Property" and that the following sections of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as from time to time
replaced, amended and hereby supplemented) be and hereby are
repealed:

Section 17 of Article 2 of the Code, title "Agents and Factors";
Section 1 of Article 3 of the Code, title "Aliens"; Sections 1 to 18,
inclusive, of Article 15 of the Code, title "Bounding Lands"; Sec-
tions 13 and 14 of Article 16 of the Code, title "Chancery," subtitle
"Deeds"; Section 93 of the Article 16, subtitle "Injunction"; Sec-
tions 121 and 128 of the Article 16, subtitle "Jurisdiction"; Sec-
tions 154 and 155 of the Article 16, subtitle "Partition"; Sections
160, 162, 165, 166, 167 and 168 of the Article 16, subtitle "Sales" ;
and Section 191 of the Article 16, subtitle "Trustee"; Sections 11,
12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 33 of Article 17 of the Code, title "Clerks of
Courts," subtitle "General Duties of Clerks"; Sections 50 to 52 and
54 to 65 of the Article 17, subtitle "Clerk of Circuit Courts and
Superior Court of Baltimore City"; Section 22 of Article 26 of the
Code, title "Courts," subtitle "Judgments"; Sections 1 to 18 14, in-
clusive, of Article 33A of the Code, title "Eminent Domain"; Sec-
tions 27 to 30, inclusive, of Article 35 of the Code, title "Evi-
dence," subtitle "Commissions to Perpetrate Boundaries of Lands";
Sections 1 to 8 of Article 39C, title "Statute of Frauds"; Section
SECTIONS 9 AND 9A of Article 50 of the Code, title "Joint Obliga-
