(c) Price information required.
(1) Every person who sells, offers for sale, or exposes for sale at
retail:
(i) any consumer commodity shall disclose the total price thereof,
or if sold only by units, the unit price thereof;
(ii) any of the following consumer commodities whenever pre-
packaged: aluminum foil, bread, carbonated soft drinks, cereals,
cooking oils, dog or cat food, facial tissues, fowl, fruits, grains,
meats, napkins, plastic food wrapping, vegetables, or warned paper,
shall disclose the unit price thereof;
(II) ANY PREPACKAGED OR RETAIL PACKAGED CON-
SUMER COMMODITIES INCLUDED WITHIN THE FOLLOW-
ING CATEGORIES:
A) FOODS, CONDIMENTS, COOKING OILS, SHORTENINGS,
AND THE LIKE;
B) PAPER PRODUCTS INCLUDING NAPKINS, TOWELS
AND TISSUES;
C) WRAPPING PRODUCTS, INCLUDING THOSE MADE OF
PAPER, PLASTIC AND ALUMINUM;
D) SOAPS, DETERGENTS, CLEANSING AIDS, DEODORIZ-
ING AIDS AND THE LIKE SHALL DISCLOSE THE UNIT
PRICE THEREOF;
in both cases in the manner provided in this section, unless exempted
by this section.
(III) ANY CONSUMER COMMODITY INCLUDED WITHIN
THE CATEGORIES OF SUB-PARAGRAPH (II) IMMEDIATELY
ABOVE AND PRICED FOR PURCHASE OF MULTIPLE PACK-
AGES (E.G. TWO CANS FOR 79¢) SHALL DISCLOSE THE
UNIT PRICE OF THE COMMODITY ON THE BASIS THAT A
MULTIPLE PACKAGE: IS PURCHASED.
(2) Notwithstanding subdivision (1) of this subsection, persons
required to disclose unit prices pursuant to this section need do so
only to the following extent: , as measured by the dollar volume of
sales of the items involved CONSUMER COMMODITIES SUBJECT
TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION:
i) (I) From January 1, 1972 until December 31, 1972 in such a
fashion that at least eighty (80) SEVENTY (70) per cent of the
dollar volume OR NUMBER OF ITEMS OF CONSUMER COM-
MODITIES SUBJECT TO THIS SECTION required to be unit-priced
will be unit-priced;
ii) (II) From January 1, 1973 to December 31, 1973 in such a
fashion that at least ninety (90) per cent of the dollar volume OR
NUMBER OF ITEMS OF CONSUMER COMMODITIES SUB-
JECT TO THIS SECTION required to be unit-priced will be unit-
priced, ;
iii) (III) From, January 1, 1974 in such a fashion that one hundred
(100) per cent of the dollar volume required to be a unit priced will
be unit priced.
