twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per annum. From and after
July 1, [1969,] 1971, the salary [paid as compensation from the
State to each] of each of the judges of the several courts of the eight
judicial circuits is [thirty thousand five hundred dollars ($30,500)]
thirty-eight thousand dollars ($38,000) THIRTY-FIVE THOU-
SAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($35,500) per annum [; and on
and after June 1, 1968, the maximum aggregate paid to or allowed as
compensation from the State and all political subdivisions of the
State to each of the eight judicial circuits shall be limited to the sum
of thirty thousand five hundred dollars ($30,500) per annum].
