123 thereof, to provide that the provisions relating to tax sales of
real property as found in this subtitle are inapplicable to Washing-
ton County tax sales, these sales being conducted according to the
procedures provided in the local public laws of Washington County,
and to confirm, ratify and declare valid all tax sales made after a
certain date pursuant to those laws.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 123A be and it is hereby added to Article 81 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title
"Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "Tax Sales," to follow immediately
after Section 123 thereof, and to read as follows:

123A.

The provisions of this subtitle are not applicable to Washington
County in which tax sales are conducted according to the procedures
provided in the local public laws of that county. All tax sales
made after July 1, 1956; , pursuant to the applicable provisions of
the local public laws of Washington County are hereby confirmed,
ratified and declared valid.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 402
(House Bill 539)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 36(2)
of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supple-
ment), title "Workmen's Compensation," subtitle "Claims and
Compensation; Benefits," to remove the limitation on continuation
of payment of temporary total disability.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 36(2) of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Supplement), title "Workmen's Compensation," subtitle
"Claims and Compensation; Benefits," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

36.

(2) In case of temporary total disability, sixty-six and two-thirds
per centum of the average weekly wages shall be paid to the employee
during the continuance thereof, but not to exceed a maximum of fifty-
five dollars per week for the first forty-two days of actual temporary
total disability. For any period of actual temporary total disability
in excess of forty-two days duration in the aggregate, he shall receive
two thirds of his average weekly wage, not to exceed a maximum of
sixty-six and two-thirds per centum of the average weekly wage of
the State of Maryland as determined by the Department of Employ-
