CHAPTER 376
(Senate Bill 351)
AN ACT to add new Section 5A to Article 62B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1970 Supple-
ment), title "Maryland Port Administration," to follow imme-
diately after Section 5 thereof, to provide that the Authority shall
establish and maintain a storage facility in the Baltimore Harbor
area. MARYLAND PORT AUTHORITY IS AUTHORIZED TO
ESTABLISH FACILITIES IN THE BALTIMORE HARBOR
AREA FOR DISPOSAL OF WASTE MATTER COLLECTED
FROM VESSELS AND TO CHARGE FOR THE USE OF SUCH
FACILITIES.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 5A be and it is hereby added to Article 62B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1970
Supplement), title "Maryland Port Administration," to follow imme-
diately after Section 5 thereof, and to read as follows:
5A.
The Authority shall establish and maintain facilities in the Balti-
more Harbor area to remove and dispose of oil and other waste mat-
ter collected from commercial vessels. The Authority shall collect a
reasonable charge for the use and service of this facility.
THE AUTHORITY MAY ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN FACIL-
ITIES IN THE BALTIMORE HARBOR AREA TO DISPOSE OF
WASTE MATTER OTHER THAN OIL COLLECTED FROM COM-
MERCIAL VESSELS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE APPLI-
CABLE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 96A OF THIS CODE. THE
AUTHORITY SHALL MAKE A REASONABLE CHARGE FOR
THE USE AND SERVICE OF THIS FACILITY.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 377

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 46B of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "General Provisions on Issue
of Licenses," to extend to the second AND THIRD legislative
districts of Baltimore City the prohibition against the issue of a
license to sell alcoholic beverages to any building located within
300 feet of a church or school and to delete a provision restricting
the applicability of this section to the fourth legislative district
of Baltimore City only.
