CHAPTER 263
(House Bill 5)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 27-7(c)
(1) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Re-
placement Volume and 1970 Supplement), title "Election Code,"
subtitle "Absentee Voting," to provide for the size of the return
envelopes used for absentee voting, and generally relating to the
election laws.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 27-7(c)(l) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1970 Supplement), title
"Election Code," subtitle "Absentee Voting," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
27-7.
(c)(l) One envelope shall be known as the "return envelope"
and shall be sufficiently [larger than any of the other hereinafter
described envelopes so that it will enclose and contain the other
envelopes] large enough to enclose absentee ballot envelopes. Across
the left hand face of the "return envelope" shall be printed or written
these words "Return Envelope for the election of................." (Date)
The blank space in these words shall be filled in with the date of the
election, following which shall be added the words "Supervisors of
Elections of Baltimore City" or "Supervisors of Elections of................
County," as the case may be, together with the address of their office,
and below this last phrase shall be printed in bold type the words
"Official Absentee Ballot, State of Maryland (or City of Baltimore,
as the case may be.)"
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June JULY 1, 1971.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 4A-1 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement
Volume and 1970 Supplement), title "Election Code", subtitle "Cer-
tificate of Candidacy", to provide regulations for the listing and
use of names, nicknames, titles, degrees and other designations
on certificates of candidacy, and generally relating to the election
laws.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 4A-1 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Replacement Volume and 1970 Supplement), title "Election
Code", subtitle "Certificate of Candidacy", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
