AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 288 of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Fish and
Fisheries," subheading "Tidal Waters," providing that the pro-
hibition of the use of anchored gill nets in certain areas of the
Chesapeake Bay will not apply to the area known generally as
CERTAIN AREAS IN THE Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 288 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Replacement Volume), title "Natural Resources," subtitle
"Fish and Fisheries," subheading "Tidal Waters," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
288.
The use of anchored gill nets is hereby prohibited in that area of
Chesapeake Bay, which is bounded on the north by a line drawn
from Turkey Point on the eastern shore to Sandy Point in Harford
County, and on the south by a line drawn from the mouth of Fairlee
Creek in Kent County to Robins Point in Harford County, provided,
however, that such use shall not be prohibited in the area known
generally as Aberdeen Proving Ground. NUMBERED COMMER-
CIAL FISHING AREAS WITHIN THE ABERDEEN PROVING
GROUNDS AS DELINEATED ON MAP NO. 2 ISSUED BY THE
PROVING GROUND, WHICH IS ENTITLED "ABERDEEN
PROVING GROUND COMMERCIAL FISHING AREAS FOR
1971."
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, subsection (s)
of Section 5 of Article 62B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume), title "Maryland Port Authority,"
subtitle "Powers generally," subheading "Contracts," ADMIN-
ISTRATION," amending the State law concerning the Maryland
Port Administration and specifically relating to contracts entered
into by the Maryland Port Authority to provide that certain con-
tracts for certain projects be performed in accordance with State
law relating to the payment of not less than the prevailing wage
rates to workmen and apprentices employed on such projects.
