County or Baltimore City in which he resided immediately prior to
his removal to another State if he satisfies, but for his non-resident
status and the reason for his absence, the requirements for absentee
voting in that County or Baltimore City.

28-3.

Form of affidavit of person applying for ballot; State Administra-
tive Board of Election Laws to prepare and distribute all required
forms.

(a) A person desiring to qualify under this subtitle to vote for
presidential and vice-presidential electors shall make an application
in the form of an affidavit executed in duplicate in the presence of
the registrar, substantially as follows:

1.    I am a citizen of the United States.

2.    Before becoming a resident of this State, I resided at........................

Warning! The Absentee Voting Law provides that anyone who wil-
fully signs any false application or oath, or who wilfully does any act
contrary to the terms and provisions of the Absentee Voting Law
with intent to cast an illegal vote or to aid another in doing so, or
who wilfully violates any of the provisions of that law or who applies
for a ballot under any other name than his own, shall, upon convic-
tion, be subject to a fine of $1,000 or to imprisonment for not more
than two years, or to both, in the discretion of the court. Warning!
An absentee ballot will not be sent to you unless you are registered
to vote in elections in this State.
