Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 201
(House Bill 1242)

AN ACT to repeal Section 35 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Charles County (1969 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County," subtitle "County
Commissioners," to abolish the Charles County Salary Board which
no longer is in effect in Charles County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 35 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County
(1969 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Charles County," subtitle "County Commissioners,"
be and it is hereby repealed:

The County Commissioners are authorized and directed to estab-
lish a board which shall be known as the Salary Board and shall
consist of one member of the Board of County Commissioners, des-
ignated by the Chairman, and of the County Treasurer and the
Clerk of the Circuit Court. The Board shall meet from time to time as
necessary to review the salaries paid to the employees in the offices of
the County Commissioners, the County Treasurer, and the Trial Mag-
istrate for Charles County, the Secretary of the State's Attorney and
of the employees who constitute the fire watch in the county court
house. Notwithstanding any provision of Article 25, Section 51 (g)
