Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 63-5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery-
County (1965 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County," subtitle "Title III
City Town and Village Laws," subtitle "Subtitle 3. Villages," sub-
heading "Chevy Chase Section 5," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
63-5.
Said Chevy Chase Citizens' Committee of said Section 5 shall
not expend for material or work a sum exceeding [five hundred
($500) dollars] fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) without having
first advertised the specifications therefor and invited bids for the
same, after which said committee may purchase such material or
make contract for such work, or have such work done by employed
labor, or otherwise, as it may deem best; and provided, further, that
said committee may make contracts, after due advertisement, for
lighting said Section 5 of said village for periods of five years, but
no longer period at a time; and provided, further, that no member
of said citizens' committee shall furnish any supplies of any kind
or contract in any manner with said citizens' committee.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 329 of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement
Volume, 1970 Supplement), title, "Health," subtitle "Plumbing,"
amending the laws of this State concerning the State Board of
Commissioners of Practical Plumbers to correct certain language
and references therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 329 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume, 1970 Supplement) be titled "Health,"
subtitle "Plumbing," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
329.
The Governor, with the advice of the Secretary of Licensing and
Regulation shall appoint biennially seven persons, with the advice
and consent of the Senate, who shall constitute a board of commis-
sioners, which shall be known and designated as "The State Board of
Commissioners of Practical Plumbing" and shall be a part of the
Department of Licensing and Regulation. The Board of Commis-
sioners shall be selected as follows: Seven persons who are practical
and skilled plumbers, two of whom shall be from Baltimore City,
