CHAPTER 171
(House Bill 851)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 of
Chapter 352 of the Acts of 1967 to provide an expiration date
for the Washington County School Building Commission of 1967.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 of Chapter 352 of the Acts of 1967 be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

The County Commissioners of Washington County shall desig-
nate two of its members, and the Board of Education of Washington
County shall designate two of its members who shall serve on the
School Building Commission. The Governor shall select two persons
to serve on the School Building Commission. The six persons so
designated shall then select one representative citizen of Washington
County, and the seven persons so designated shall constitute the
"Washington County School Building Commission of 1967". Said
Commission is authorized to make a full and detailed study of the
type of construction and plans of the buildings constituting the
projects enumerated herein, the type and amount of equipment neces-
sary therefor, and shall make a detailed study of the costs thereof
and obtain such other data as in the opinion of said Commission is
required to properly carry out the duties hereby assigned to the
Commission under the provisions hereof, and shall from time to
time make recommendations concerning the same to the County Com-
missioners of Washington County and the Board of Education of
Washington County, which recommendations said joint Boards shall
consider, but which shall be advisory only and shall not bind said
Boards in any action which they may take. In the event of a vacancy
of the Commission by death, resignation, or otherwise, such vacancy
shall be filled by the Board or Boards, and in the manner, by which
the member of the Board whose vacancy is being filled was originally
selected. The Commission shall serve until July 1, 1978.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement), title "Al-
coholic Beverages," subtitle "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses,"
to follow immediately after Section 20(m-l) thereof, AND TO
ADD NEW SECTION 106(E) TO SAID ARTICLE AND TITLE,
SUBTITLE "HOURS AND DAYS FOR SALE," TO FOLLOW
IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 106(D) THEREOF provid-
