(a) Every bailiff attending the circuit courts in the counties in
this State shall be entitled to the compensation hereinafter prescribed
for each day he shall attend said court, except as otherwise herein
provided.
(2) Bailiffs in Anne Arundel County and Worcester County shall
receive fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day.
(12) Bailiffs in St. Mary's, Somerset [, Worcester] and Kent
counties shall each receive ten dollars ($10.00) per day.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

(House Bill 453)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 19 (i) of
Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Supplement),
title "Juries," and to add new Section 19(l) to said article and
title of said Code (1970 Supplement), to follow immediately after
Section 19(k) thereof to increase the pay for jurors in Worcester
County, DORCHESTER AND WICOMICO COUNTIES.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 19 (i) of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Supplement), title "Juries," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, and that new Section 19(l) be and it
is hereby added to said article and title of said Code, (1970 Supple-
ment), to follow immediately after Section 19(k) and all to read as
follows:
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

(i) In [Worcester County and in Wicomico County IN WOR-
CESTER, DORCHESTER, AND WICOMICO COUNTIES jurors
shall receive ten FIFTEEN dollars for each day they attend the
circuit court as jurors and shall receive no extra allowances for
either mileage or travel expenses.
