(Senate Bill 219)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 155 (v)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Boards of
License Commissioners"; and to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, Section 159 (h) of said Article (1970 Supplement), title
"Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "County Liquor Control Boards
and Dispensaries," to increase the salaries of the chairman and
members of the board of license commissioners of Wicomico
County, to increase the salary of the chairman and members of
the liquor control, board of Wicomico County, and to clarify the
language therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 155 (v) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
title "Boards of License Commissioners"; and that Section 159 (h)
of said Article (1970 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
subtitle "County Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries," be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and all
to read as follows:

(v) In Wicomico County, the chairman of the board of license
commissioners shall receive as compensation, the sum of [one thou-
sand two hundred dollars ($1,200.00)] fifteen hundred dollars
($1,500.00) per year. Each of the other two members shall receive
as compensation, the sum of [nine hundred dollars ($900.00)]
twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) per year.

(h) Members of the several boards shall receive compensation as
follows:

(1)   Garrett County—Eighteen hundred dollars ($1,800.00) per
annum, with a mileage fee of ten cents (10¢) per mile when in
attendance upon meetings.

(2)  Harford County—Fifteen hundred dollars per annum, pro-
vided that an additional compensation shall be paid board members
for administrative services.

(3)  Kent County—Fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each day they
meet on official business.

(4)  Montgomery County—The salary of the director of the de-
partment of liquor control shall be fixed by the county executive with
the approval of the County Council.

(5)   Somerset County—One thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per
annum.

(6)  Wicomico County—[Nine hundred dollars] Twelve hundred
dollars per annum, and a salary of [three hundred dollars] fifteen
hundred dollars PER ANNUM for the chairman of the board it, in
