year or fraction thereof] a rate to be determined by the Board of
County Commissioners of Harford County.
(c) The operator of every vehicular trailer camp, or mobile home
park as defined in this section, shall collect from the lessee or tenant
of each trailer coach or mobile home space [in that camp], for the
privilege of leasing or renting the [trailer coach] space, a monthly
excise tax [in the amount of three dollars. The County Commis-
sioners of Harford County are authorized to change the amount of
this excise tax from time to time] at a rate to be determined by the
Board of County Commissioners of Harford County. The operator
collecting [said] the tax shall hold it to the account of the Treasurer
of Harford County and once every three (3) months shall remit to
the paid] Treasurer the total amount of his collections for [such]
that purpose. The moneys paid to the Treasurer of Harford County
shall be credited to the General Funds of the County, provided that
this tax shall not apply if the County Commissioners of Harford
County have assessed the trailers or mobile homes under the pro-
visions of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

(Senate Bill 190)
AN ACT to add new Article 49C to the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume and 1970 Supplement), to follow im-
mediately after Article 49B thereof, and to be under the new title
"Maryland Commission on the Status of Women," to provide that
the Maryland Commission on the Status of Women become a
statutory body, the purposes of which are to stimulate the study
of the status of women throughout the State; concentrate on
women's problems; recommend methods of overcoming discrimi-
nation; promote methods to enable women to develop their skills
and education; make surveys and appoint committees in various
fields; to secure appropriate recognition to women's accomplish-
ments; and to further provide for the appointment of the initial
membership,; TO ALLOW FOR FUNDING; AND RELATING
GENERALLY TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE COMMU-
NITY AND RELATING TO THE BETTERMENT OF THE
STATUS OF WOMEN GENERALLY.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Article 49C be and it is hereby added to the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1970 Supplement),
to follow immediately after Article 49B thereof, and to be under
the new title "Maryland Commission on the Status of Women," and
to read as follows:
49C. Maryland Commission on the Status of Women
1. Title.
This Article shall be known as the "Maryland Commission on the
Status of Women Act."
