(Senate Bill 57)
AN ACT to add new Section 240 (g) to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County,"
subtitle "Electrical Examiners," as last amended by Chapter 503
of the Acts of 1969, to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 244 of the Code (1965 Edition), and to add new Section
244A to the Code (1965 Edition), to follow immediately after
Section 240 (f), and Section 244, respectively, to provide for the
issuance of a Specialist License by the Board of Electrical Exam-
iners of Harford County, to lower the bond required of a master
electrician, and to permit the Board of Electrical Examiners to
enter into a written agreement of reciprocity with any county in
Maryland or Baltimore City.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 240 (g) be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford
County," subtitle "Electrical Examiners," as last amended by Chap-
ter 503 of the Acts of 1969, to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, Section 244 of the Code (1965 Edition), to follow immedi-
ately after Section 240 (f), and Section 244, respectively, and to
read as follows:
240. Specialist License
(g) The Board of Electrical Examiners of Harford County is
hereby authorized to make rules and regulations for the issuance of
a license of limited jurisdiction for a limited period of time when
in the discretion of the Board circumstances require it to be issued.

Every person required to be licensed hereunder, except a journey-
man electrician, shall execute and deliver to the Board prior to the
issuance of the license a good and sufficient bond in the form
approved by the Board, in the name of the State of Maryland, in
the penal sum of [five thousand dollars ($5,000) in the case of a
master electrician and] one thousand dollars ($1,000) in the case of
a master, oil burner, sign, maintenance or air conditioning and
refrigeration electrician. The bond shall be conditioned upon the
faithful performance of any and all work entered upon or contracted
for by the licensee and shall render harmless and indemnify the
owner, or real party in interest in the property, for which any [such]
material is furnished or service performed against loss, damage or
injury which shall occur because of lack of skill, or because of failure
to use suitable or proper material in the performance of any work
contracted for or undertaken by any licensee, or his agents and
employees.

The Board of Electrical Examiners of Harford County may enter
into an agreement of reciprocity with any county of Maryland or
