Baltimore County                                 2615

Department of Traffic Engineering the authority to designate over
which of said streets said movement is prohibited, by adding new
Section 17-15.1 to the Baltimore County Code, 1968, Title "Motor
Vehicles and Traffic," Article I. In General.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND, That new Section 17-15.1 be and
it is hereby added to the Baltimore County Code, 1968, Title "Motor
Vehicles and Traffic," Article I. In General; said new section to read as
follows:

Section 17-15.1. Movement of Commercial Vehicles in Residential
Zones.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a commercial vehicle,
of more than ¾ ton manufacturer's rating capacity, upon any street or
roadway under county jurisdiction in a residential zone as from time to
time may be prescribed by resolution of the Department of Traffic En-
gineering; provided, that, after adoption of any such resolution, the county
shall cause to be placed and thereafter maintained in conspicuous places
along such streets or roadways to which said resolution is applicable,
appropriate signs or markers describing the restrictions imposed by resolu-
tion. The presence along any street or roadway of such signs or markers
shall be prima facie evidence of the adoption of the resolutions herein pro-
vided for.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect forty-five days after its enactment.
