Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That upon the effec-
tive date of this Ordinance, all accountants, senior accountants and prin-
cipal accountants effected thereby shall assume the same pay increment
level in the new classification which they held immediately prior to said
effective date.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Ordinance
shall take effect forty-five (45) days after it becomes law provided that
upon such effective date, the provisions thereof shall be applied retroactively
to July 1, 1970.

An emergency Ordinance to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 1-215 (c) (2) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration", Subtitle 2,
"Personnel", Article II, "Classified Service", to add the position title
and pay grade of Executive Secretary to the Human Relations Com-
mission; and to add new Section 1-217 (a) (163) to said Code, Title,
Subtitle and Article, to set forth the minimum qualifications for said
office; and matters generally related thereto.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-215 (c) (2)
of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title
1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified Serv-
ice", be, and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
