Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections 1-217
(46A), (46B), (47) and (57) of said Code, Title, Subtitle and Article be,
and they are hereby repealed, and re-enacted, to read as follows:

Section 1-217

(46A) PROGRAMMER—Graduation from a university or college of
recognized standing, preferably with specialization in business or public
administration, accounting, statistics, mathematics, or engineering; aptitude
for programming in [compiler languages, such as cobol or fortran; pref-
erably some experience in data processing] third generation computer
language(s); preferably one (1) year of experience in programming in
third generation computer language(s); or graduation from a recognized,
high school and two (2) years of experience at the level of Associate
Programmer, one (1) year of which must have been in programming in
third generation computer language(s);
or any equivalent combination of
education and experience.

(46B) SENIOR PROGRAMMER—Graduation from a university
or college of recognized standing preferably with specialization in business
or public administration; accounting, statistics, mathematics, or engineer-
ing; [aptitude for programming in compiler languages, such as cobol or
fortran; and at least two years of experience in data processing program-
ming, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity] and at
least one (1) year of experience at the level of Programmer; or graduation
from a recognized high school and three (3) years of experience at the
level of Programmer, two (2) years of which must have been in program-
ming in third generation language(s);
or any equivalent combination of
education and experience.

(47) DATA PROCESSING MANAGER—Graduation from a univer-
sity or college of recognized standing; [four] five (5) years of progressively
responsible experience in data processing, which included the analysis and
development of systems, programs, methods and procedures for [conver-
sion to computer processing] implementation of third generation computer
techniques, [two] three (3) years of which must have been in a super-
visory or administrative capacity; or any equivalent combination of educa-
tion and experience.

(57) CHIEF PLUMBING INSPECTOR—Graduation from a [stan-
dard] recognized high school -for vocational school] and five (5) years
of experience as a [journeyman or] master plumber [and] , preferably
some administrative or supervisory
experience [in the inspection of plumb-
ing plans and installation projects]; or any equivalent combination of
education and experience.
