tion and installation of necessary permanent furnishings, fixed permanent
equipment and fire fighting equipment therefor. The proceeds from said
bonds may be applied to the payment of the first six months' interest on
said bonds.
Section 2. Sections 2-111 through 2-119, inclusive, of the Montgomery
County Code 1965, as amended, and each and every part of such Sections,
excepting therefrom only subsections (a), (b) and (d) of Section 2-111,
be and they are hereby incorporated in this Act, by reference, as a part
hereof, it being the intention of the County Council that said Sections
shall be applicable in all respects to the borrowing of money, the issuance
of bonds, the application of the proceeds of such bonds, and the levy of
unlimited ad valorem taxes for the payment of the principal and interest
of the bonds authorized by this Act.
Section 3. The powers granted by this Act are additional and cumu-
lative and the bonds authorized by this Act may be issued notwithstanding
that other bond acts or laws may provide for the issuance of other bonds
or the borrowing of money for the same or similar purposes on the same
or other terms and conditions.
Section 4. Before borrowing any money or issuing any bonds pursuant
to this authority, the County Council may adopt, in addition to or as a
part of any other resolutions required by Sections 2-111 through 2-119
of the Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, a resolution pre-
scribing the terms and conditions on which the proceeds of the bonds
authorized hereunder shall be made available for use by the Bethesda
Fire Department, Inc., or its successor. The Council may provide by such
resolution that, in addition to the fact that the bonds authorized hereunder
are an irrevocable pledge of the full faith and credit of the entire County,
the principal and interest on such bonds shall be paid primarily from the
taxes levied within the Bethesda District pursuant to Chapter 28, Mont-
gomery County Code 1965, as amended.
Section 5. This Act shall take effect on the 76th day following its
enactment.

An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-100 of
Chapter 2 of the Montgomery County Code 1965, titled "Administra-
tion," subtitled "Sheriff," so as to provide that the Sheriff of Mont-
gomery County may appoint special deputy sheriffs for duty in connec-
tion with the transportation, at the expense of the County Health
Department, of alcoholic patients before commitment for detoxification
and in-patient treatment and care under Article 2C, Section 306 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Supp.).
Be It Enacted by the County Council for Montgomery County, Maryland,
that—
Section 1. Section 2-100 of Chapter 2 of the Montgomery County Code
1965, titled "Administration," subtitled "Sheriff," is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
