ing parking and parking meters in the same manner as they enforce
parking and traffic regulations applicable to the public streets and alleys
of the County.

Section 4. Section 73-31, Chapter 73, title "Administration," of the
Montgomery County Code 1965, is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

73-31. Storage, parking and use generally.

Storage, parking, and use of County vehicles shall be provided for
in the administrative regulations of the county executive; provided, that
in accordance with Section 73-33 of this Code, such vehicles shall be used
only for official County business.

Section 5. Subsection (a) of Section 86-16, Chapter 86, title "Fire
Prevention Code," of the Montgomery County Code 1965, is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

86-16. Removal, etc., of dangerous conditions.

(a) Whenever the fire marshal shall find in any building or upon
any premises combustible or explosive matter or dangerous accumulations
of rubbish or unnecessary accumulations of waste paper, boxes, shavings
or any highly inflammable materials which are so situated as to endanger
life or property, or shall find obstructions to or on fire escapes, stairs,
passageways, corridors, halls, loading platforms, doors or windows, liable
to interfere with the operations of fire departments or emergency equip-
ment or egress of occupants in case of fire, he shall order the same to be
removed immediately. If he shall find private entrance or exit sidewalks
or vehicular driveways or interior private driveways or sidewalks ob-
structed by snow, debris, construction material, vehicles or other matter
liable to interfere with the ingress or the operation of fire departments or
other emergency vehicles in case of fire, he shall order the obstructions
removed.

To effectuate the foregoing as to vehicles, the county executive or his
designee, upon such a finding by the fire marshal, may order "no parking"
signs erected, may designate the placement thereof, and may order that
curbs be painted a distinctive color. The parking of any vehicle, on
private property or otherwise, in violation of the foregoing, shall constitute
a misdemeanor; and any person convicted thereof will be subject to the
penalty provided in Section 15-5 of this Code. In addition, the vehicle
parked in violation of this Article may be impounded by the Department
of Police and held until the penalty provided and the towing and storage
charges incurred are paid.

Section 6. Section 106-25, Chapter 106, title "Taxicabs," of the Mont-
gomery County Code 1965, as amended, is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

106-25. Stands and call boxes generally.

The county executive or his designee is hereby authorized to provide
for taxicab stands and call boxes in the County when such are required in
the public interest.

Section 7. Subsections (a) and (b) of Section 108-1, Chapter 108,
title "Vehicles, Traffic and Parking," of the Montgomery County Code 1965,
are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:
