2172                                Municipal Charters

Beginning at an iron pipe at the lands of the Petitioners herein and
on the eastern boundary of the Harney Road right of way, thence by the
eastern boundary of the Harney Road right of way

North 4 degrees 09 minutes East, 475.28 feet to an iron pipe set at
the end of 13.25 feet on the 5th or South 44 degrees East 35.4 perches
line in a deed from Edward E. Reindollar and wife, to George R. Sauble
and wife, dated April 1, 1912 and recorded among the Land Records of
Carroll County in Liber O.D.G. No. 119, folio 232, thence running with
the remainder of said 5th line and with the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th
and part of the 11th lines thereof, and by lands of Clarence Baumgardner,

South 48 degrees 59 minutes East, 570.85 feet to an iron pipe;
thence by the lands of William E. Burke, Jr.

South 50 degrees 10 minutes West, 33.0 feet to an iron pipe; thence
by lands of same,

South 52 degrees 10 minutes West, 34.70 feet to a point; thence by
lands of same

North 39 degrees 50 minutes West, 8.25 feet to an iron pipe; thence
by lands of same

South 35 degrees 32 minutes West, 140.50 feet to an iron pipe; thence
by lands of same,

South 7 degrees 10 minutes West, 131.95 feet to an iron pipe; thence
by lands of same

South 40 degrees 51 minutes East, 340.90 feet to an iron pipe on the
northern boundary of a proposed right of way for the Town of Taneytown;
thence by the northern boundary of a proposed right of way of said Town
and by a curve with a radius of 510.40 feet, an arc length of 225.08 feet, a
chord length of 223.15 feet and a chord bearing of North 70 degrees 54
minutes West, to an iron pipe; thence by same

North 84 degrees 05 minutes West, 131.53 feet to an iron pipe; thence
by the lands of Ethel Welker and others,

North 3 degrees 14 minutes East, 330.70 feet to an iron pipe; thence
by lands of the Petitioners herein,

North 83 degrees 42 minutes West, 210.00 feet to the place of begin-
ning and containing 4.3276 acres, more or less.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the effec-
tive date of this Resolution all persons residing in the area to be annexed,
and the property therein, shall be and become residents of and property
within the City of Taneytown and subject to the provisions of the Charter
and Ordinances of the City of Taneytown and any amendments thereto.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be-
come effective on the forty-sixth day following its final enactment.

INTRODUCED before the Mayor and City Council this 7th day of
September, 1970.
