Taneytown                                       2171

20.   North 39 degrees 15 minutes 51 seconds West, 11.06 feet to a
point in said right of way line; said point being 20 feet East of the center
of the aforesaid Trevanian Road; then leaving said road and binding on a
parcel of land previously sold

21.   North 54 degrees 40 minutes 27 seconds East, 152.11 feet to a
steel pin; then

22.   North 45 degrees 26 minutes 33 seconds West, 125.50 feet to a
steel pin; then leaving said lot

23.   North 55 degrees 03 minutes 52 seconds East, 890.52 feet to a
point; then

24.   South 35 degrees 02 minutes 46 seconds East, 339.74 feet to a
point on the south side of Fairground Avenue, the place of beginning,
containing 134.8396 acres (neat measure) being a tract of land lying on
the south side of Baltimore Street and on the east side of Trevanian Road.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That from and after the effec-
tive date of this Resolution all persons residing in the area to be annexed,
and the property therein, shall be and become residents of and property
within the City of Taneytown and subject to the provisions of the Charter
and Ordinances of the City of Taneytown and any amendments thereto.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That this Resolution shall be-
come effective on the forty-sixth day following its final enactment.

INTRODUCED before the Mayor and City Council this 25th day of
February, 1970.

Resolution

Whereas, a Petition has been presented to the Mayor and Council of
the City of Taneytown to enlarge the corporate boundaries of said City by
the annexation of a parcel of land contiguous to and adjoining the existing
corporate boundaries of said City; and

Whereas, the Mayor and Council have caused to be made a verification
of the signatures upon said Petition and have ascertained that the persons
signing the Petition represent at least twenty-five per cent (25%) of the
persons who reside in the area to be annexed and who are registered
voters in County elections in the precinct in which the territory to be
annexed is located, and the owners of at least twenty-five per cent (25%)
of the assessed valuation of the real property located in the area to be
annexed;

IT IS RESOLVED, THEREFORE, by the Mayor and Council of the
City of Taneytown that the following parcel of land shall be annexed to
the City of Taneytown and be and become a part thereof:
