filed as permitted by law, provided a complete and exact copy of this
Resolution shall be posted continuously in the office of The Commissioners
of Aberdeen until April 18, 1970, and provided further that a copy of this
Resolution shall be published in at least one newspaper of general circula-
tion in the Town of Aberdeen not less than four (4) times at weekly
intervals before April 18, 1970.
Section 3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ORDAINED and EN-
ACTED that as soon as the charter amendment hereby resolved, ordained
and enacted becomes effective, either as herein provided or following a
referendum, the Town Manager shall send separately, by registered mail, to
the Secretary of State of Maryland, to the Department of Legislative Ref-
erence of Maryland, to the Hall of Records Commission of Maryland, to
the State Library of Maryland, and to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Harford County, the following information concerning the Charter amend-
ments: (1) the complete text of this Resolution; (2) the date of the refer-
endum election, if any, held with respect thereto; (3) the number of votes
cast for and against the question contained in the charter amendment,
whether by the Commissioners of Aberdeen or in a referendum; and (4)
the effective date of the Charter amendment.
Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ORDAINED and
ENACTED that the Town Manager of The Commissioners of Aberdeen
be and hereby specifically is enjoined and instructed to carry out the
provisions of Sections 2 and 3 hereof and, as evidence of said compliance,
the said Town Manager shall cause to be affixed to the minutes of this
meeting (1) an appropriate certificate of publication of the newspaper in
which this Resolution shall have been published and (2) return receipts of
the mailings referred to in Section 3, and shall further complete and exe-
cute or have completed and executed any other necessary certificates or
documents.

to Repeal and Re-enact Section 40 of the City Charter
Resolution of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis,
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11-E of the Constitution
of the State of Maryland and Article 23-A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Corporations—Municipal," to repeal
and re-enact Section 40 of the Charter of the City of Annapolis.
