CHAPTER 766
(Senate Bill 587)
AN ACT to add new Section 222 (c) to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Licenses,"
subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," to follow immediately after sub-
section (b) thereof, to provide for the operation and management
of branch offices by a resident real estate broker.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 222 (c) be and it is hereby added to Article 56 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title
"Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," to follow immediately
after Section (b) thereof, and to read as follows:
(c) Every resident real estate broker may, in addition to the defi-
nite place of business as required by subsection (a) of this section,
operate branch offices provided that said branch offices be operated in
compliance with subsection (a) of this section. The Manager of the
branch office must be an Associate Broker or a salesman with at
least three years experience. His designation as Sales Manager must
be filed with the Commission. and he must apply his entire activities
to the branch office and the direction of its personnel. The office must
be devoted exclusively to real estate business.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

CHAPTER 767
(Senate Bill 741)
AN ACT to add new Section 10 to Article 88C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "State Plan-
ning," to follow immediately after Section 9 thereof, requiring all
State agencies which make requests for capital projects to submit
them to the Department of State Planning at certain times, provid-
ing that no funds for preliminary planning shall be authorized
unless the requesting agency has first submitted detailed plans,
providing that no project changes shall be authorized after sub-
mision of the preliminary plan without the approval of certain
agencies, and generally relating to State planning. REQUESTS
