has or have been a registered voter or voters of Wicomico County
for not less than one year immediately preceding the filing of the
application. [This license in a restaurant does not permit sales at
bars or counters, nor for consumption anywhere except inside the
building and only in the restaurant area in which meals are prepared
and served, and nowhere else inside the building.] This license
permits sales at bars or counters to seated patrons only and does not
permit sales for consumption anywhere except inside the building.
Before such a license is issued or renewed the board of license com-
missioners shall make a physical inspection of the proposed licensed
premises and shall satisfy themselves of the moral character, finan-
cial responsibility, and adequacy of investment of the applicant, the
appropriateness of the location and suitability of design of the build-
ing where the licensed business is to be conducted, taking into con-
sideration the number of licenses already issued, and generally as to
the applicant's fitness to engage in the business.

IN WICOMICO COUNTY, (1) A CLASS B "ON-SALE" HOTEL
AND RESTAURANT LICENSE FOR THE SALE OF BEER,
WINE AND LIQUOR AUTHORIZES THE SALE OR DISPOSAL
OF SUCH ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BETWEEN THE HOURS
OF TEN O'CLOCK A.M., MONDAY TO SATURDAY, INCLUSIVE,
AND 1:00 A.M. OF THE FOLLOWING DAY, AND BETWEEN
[1:00 P.M. AND 9:00 P.M.] 12:30 P.M. AND 10:00 P.M. ON SUN-
DAY (PROVIDED THAT UNDER SUCH SUNDAY LICENSES
THE SALE OR DISPOSAL OF SUCH ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
IS PERMITTED ONLY AS A SUPPLEMENT TO MEALS AND
THEN ONLY FOR CONSUMPTION BY PATRONS SEATED [AT
TABLES] ON THE PREMISES), AND AT NO OTHER TIMES;
(2) A CLASS C "ON-SALE" CLUB LICENSE AUTHORIZES
THE SALE OR DISPOSAL OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 10 O'CLOCK A.M., MONDAY TO
SATURDAY, INCLUSIVE, AND 1 O'CLOCK A.M. ON THE
FOLLOWING DAY, AND AT NO OTHER TIME.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

(House Bill 1280)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1 of
Article 70 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume), title "Official Oaths," and to repeal Section 6 of said
Article, Code and title, to correct an erroneous reference and to
remove certain obsolete language.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
