EDUCATION ACT AS AMENDED, AND ADVISING THE STATE
BOARD OF EDUCATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF AND
POLICY MATTERS ARISING IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF
THE STATE PLAN.

409D.

The Council shall make certain studies on its own initiative rela-
tive to vocational-technical education and manpower training in the
State of Maryland and shall furnish reports and make such studies
as may be requested by the Governor or the Maryland Assembly.

409E.

The State Board of Education, State Board for Community Col-
leges, the Department of Employment and Social Services, the De-
partment of Economic and Community Development, the Board of
Regents of the University of Maryland, Boards of Trustees of State
Colleges, the Maryland Council for Higher Education, and all other
APPROPRIATE state boards and agencies shall cooperate with the
Advisory Council in supplying studies and reports as requested by
the Council. The Advisory Council, in return, shall supply copies of
its reports and studies upon request.

409F.

The Council may accept gifts and grants from any individual,
group, association, or corporation, or the United States Government
subject to such limitations or conditions as may be provided by law.

409G.

The Council shall employ such professional and clerical personnel
and consultants as are necessary to perform the duties assigned by
this subtitle.

409H.

Notwithstanding any other provision of the Code, the Council shall
receive and administer any fund
FUNDS appropriated to it under
any Federal acts.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 133 of Article 77
of said Code (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Public Education,"
subtitle "Vocational Education," be and it is hereby repealed and re
-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

133.

The State of Maryland does hereby:

(1) Accept the provisions and benefits of the Smith-Hughes Act,
the George Barden Act, the Vocational Education Act of 1963, and
any acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof which may
hereafter be enacted by the Congress of the United States [.] ;

(2) Designate the State Treasurer as custodian of all moneys re-
ceived by the State of Maryland for vocational education, under the

provisions of such acts, and such moneys shall be paid out in the

manner provided by such acts for the purposes therein specified [.] ;
