AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 25(k)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Special and
Temporary Licenses," and Section 25(k-l) of Article 2B of said
Code (1970 Supplement), providing for the issuance of special
and temporary alcoholic beverage licenses for certain organiza-
tions and within specified hours in Worcester County. AND THE
FEE CHARGED THEREFOR.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 25(k) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
title "Special and Temporary Licenses," and Section 25(k-l) of
Article 2B of said Code, (1970 Supplement), be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(k) In Worcester County, the board of license commissioners may
issue a special permit to the holder of a seven (7) day Class B OR
CLASS C beer, wine and liquor license located in the tenth election dis-
trict of the county to permit said licensee to sell alcoholic beverages to
bona fide conventions and such other special groups as may be ap-
proved first by the mayor and city council of the incorporated town
(if any) in which the premises are located and then by the board
of license commissioners for consumption on the premises only on
Sunday during the hours of [1:00] 12:00 o'clock [p.m.] noon 12:30
P.M. and [9:00] 10:00 o'clock p.m., prevailing time. The holder of
such a license shall be entitled to exercise the privileges thereof at the
time and place therein described upon the payment of a fee at the
rate of ten dollars ($10.00). Application for such permit shall be
made not less than ten (10) days prior to the day upon which said
permit is to be exercised.
(k-1) The board of license commissioners of Worcester County,
with the approval of the Ocean City Convention Hall Commission,
may issue a temporary beer, wine and liquor license, Class B, to
the representative of a bona fide religious, fraternal, civic, war
veterans, hospital or charitable organization or professional, trade,
employee and labor organisations, or any caterer contracted, em-
ployed by, or contracted for to serve such organizations at the rate
of $10.00 per day, using OR LABOR ORGANIZATION, OR ANY
CATERER CONTRACTED WITH, OR EMPLOYED BY SUCH
ORGANIZATION TO SERVE SUCH ORGANIZATION UPON
the premises of the Ocean City Convention Hall. The said license
shall authorize the holder thereof to exercise any of the privileges
conferred by the said class of license only upon said premises [and
shall be issued for a period not to exceed seven (7) days]. The
fee for said license shall be [twenty-five dollars ($25.00)] $10.00
per day.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate pres-
